Isn’t it ironic? Technology promoting less technology

A fantastic spoken word film about a wide spread technological issue. I could trawl on YouTube for days for the ones that go viral. The time before this one I found “Tiny Hamsters Eating Tiny Burritos – Episode 1“.  So I felt compelled to post it here. It took me back to another time… a time when I was lying on a hammock on one of the Yasawa Islands in Fiji. The weather was beautiful and I was soaking up relaxation. Then I decided to listen to an audiobook, yes I’m up with technology. It was an audiobook about use of punctuation and grammar. Suprisingly, […]

Tumbling Along…

I start this post with a question that has crossed my mind a couple, okay it may have been more than a couple, of times these past few weeks. WHY? What is the purpose of dedicating time to a project? For me, it’s been a about balancing my desire to be constructive and produce things that are useful and perhaps even inspiring, and my desire just to do what I want to do. Finding your purpose?

pur – puh’s As defined by the online dictionary: the reason for which something exists or is done, made, used etc. What seems to be a simple thing, can lead to a life of searching for one’s ultimate purpose. The reason for which you exist. That is quite a statement, and definitely infers you are here for more than just  to take up air and a space on this planet, Earth in case it’s become unrecognisable to you in it’s chaos. Through my, relatively short – in comparison to that of a 219 year old turtle – life, I’ve pondered upon […]

Movement and Motion

“Do not confuse motion and progress. A rocking horse keeps moving but does not make any progress” Now this is something I always need to be mindful of. How do you keep moving forward and not fall into the trap of keeping busy and achieving little. Funny when I’m waiting for something to heat in the microwave , I always manage to get so much done in those 2 minutes. Yet when I have hours to be productive, they fly by without a trace. Perhaps the solution is to be constantly heating things in the microwave… or setting 2 minute […]

Muesli

Healthy Body, Healthy Mind

Inspired by my friend who is on a weight loss challenge, I walked the Bay Run last night, for this reason I usually call it the Bay Walk. It’s a good 7km walk around Canada Bay, Sydney. During the walk we got talking about food (nothing unusual there). Another Breakfast Regime This is what she told me, 50g of muesli with 100ml of milk. When looking at the back of the packet with all the numbers, ensure that the sugar content is no more than a 1/3 of the total carbohydrate content – finally some of what I learnt in high […]
