Yes, it’s been a while. This is how it happens, you get enthusiastic about a project and then somewhere along the way that enthusiasm dissipates and you’re left with random specks of inspiration. So it’s with these specks I write this post. The Wayside Chapel and St Vincent’s Hospital have come on board to support the Deck of Dreams (or could be affectionately known as DOD). I still see DOD as in it’s infancy and at this stage it still requires plenty of time and energy to grow. There will be a “grand opening” for DOD at St Vincent’s Hospital […]
It’s a month away and I am eagerly anticipating the official opening of the DOD project. I believe that a launch usually indicates the beginning of a project, which is a good thing because this project is not quite finished. So here I am writing to extend the invitation to you to attend the Opening on 16th May (10:30am – 12:30pm at The OBrien Centre cnr Victoria and Burton St Darlinghurst, NSW) . Not quite as dramatic as a rocket launch but you get the idea. Look forward to seeing you there (Thanks to Douglas Holmes, you can RSVP online at […]

Fortunately, this balancing act hasn’t been too difficult as what I want to do relates quite closely with, hopefully, things others may find useful. I’ve been at […]
I received the news last week that Deck of Dreams has been funded by the Lord Mayor Clover Moore Salary Trust! It is great news just before Christmas and I am looking forward to sharing the creation process with you all! Needless to say I am very excited and have to give a big thank you to Douglas Holmes, Consumer Participation Officer, St Vincents Hospital, for applying for the funding. I will be working with designers from Breakout Communications to create the physical cards and I am sure they will look amazing! Thank you everyone for your participation and support […]
